From The Warrington Examiner of 14 October 1871: "MARRIAGES - Oct. 5, at Wincle, by the Rev. J. Bostock, M.A., father of the bride, Mr. EDWARD CHRIMES, fourth son of the late Mr. J. CHRIMES, of Warrington, to EMILY HARRIET, eldest daughter of the above." From The Wrexham and Denbighshire and Flintshire Advertiser of 21 September 1878: "PARR'S BANKING COMPANY LIMITED ... BRANCHES ... Prescot - Edw. Chrimes, Manager..." Edward was initiated into the "Lodge of Loyalty" Lodge of Freemasons at Prescot, Lancashire on 5 February 1879. Edward was declared bankrupt in 1882, as detailed in notices in The London Gazette and this from The Liverpool Mercury of 1 March 1882: "PETITIONS FOR LIQUIDATION BY ARRANGEMENT - Edward Chrimes, Bank House, Stanley-crescent, Preston [sic], formerly bank manager, but now out of business." In the 1881 England census, Edward and his family were recorded as CRIMES. I cannot find Edward in the 1891 England census. |
