In the 1920 US Census John R was still single, living with his sister Agnes and her husband George BRYANT. At this time he was 62 years old, so I presume that even if he married between 1920 and his death in 1935, he would not have fathered any children. I cannot find John R on the 1930 US Federal Census, though he does appear on the US City Directories up to and including 1935. John R held a government office of Employment Superindendent or similar, as often quoted in a Jackson newspaper. John R took over the existing business which became Tinker and Chrimes. |
