Ronnie Hope is connected to his parents by his 1978 Marriage Certificate. From the Find-a-Grave record: "Ronnie Hope Crymes, age 77, of Richmond, Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2024. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Elizabeth Amos Crymes and his father, Leonard Hope Crymes. He is survived by his mother's sisters, Beth Amos Levine of Chesterfield, Virginia and Betty Amos Dray of South Chesterfield, Virginia. He leaves behind no surviving spouse or children. Ronnie was an officer of the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and left the Corps as a Captain. He served in The Republic of Vietnam from 1968 to 1970 with Fox Company, 2nd Battalion, 1st Marine Division USMC. For his service, he was awarded the Purple Heart, the National Defense Service Medal, the Republic of Vietnam Service Medal with three clusters, Vietnam Campaign Medal, the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with Palm, the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with Bronze Star, the Combat Action Ribbon, the Navy Service Ribbon, the Meritorious Unit Citation Ribbon, and the Presidential Unit Citation Ribbon. Ronnie was a 1972 graduate of the University of Richmond and later graduated from the Medical College of Virginia, School of Pharmacy. He was a licensed pharmacist working in the greater Richmond area until his retirement. A memorial service with military honors will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at 11:00 am at Cannon Memorial Chapel, University of Richmond, 134 UR Drive, Richmond, Virginia, 23173. A private burial will take place at the family cemetery." |
