I cannot find James on the 1891 UK Census. In the 1921 England Census, siblings Arthur, James and Fanny, all single, were the only residents of Park Moss Farm. In 1921 James was employed by his brother Arthur at Park Moss Farm. James's Administration record reads: "CHRIMES James of 41 Belvoir Road Widnes Lancashire died 4 January 1951 Administration Liverpool 26 February to Fanny Atkin and Lizzie Wright widows. Effects £2941 6s. 2d." James probably did not marry. The Great Budworth burial record is assigned to this James despite a 10 year discrepancy in age at death. From James' gravestone: "Also JAMES son of above JOHN and FRANCES CHRIMES who died January 4th 1951 aged 51 years." |
