The following, from The London Gazette of 25 November 1862, probably applies to this William: "Notice is hereby given, that application is intended to be made, to Parliament, in the next Session by the London and North-Western Railway Company, hereinafter called 'the Company', for an Act for the following purposes, or some of them: To authorise and empower the Company to make and maintain the following railways or some of them, with all proper stations, approaches, works and conveniences connected herewith (that is to say): ... A railway to commence in the township of Weaverham-cum-Milton, in the parish of Weaverham in the county of Chester, at or near a point situate 286 yards or thereabouts, to the southward of the bridge which carries the occupation road leading to the farm of Mr. William Chrimes, over the London and North-Western Railway, known as Chrimes' bridge, there to form a junction with the last-named railway, and to terminate in the township of Hartford ... to form a junction with the authorised line of the West Cheshire Railway...". William's Proving of Will record reads: "CHRIMES William 15 May The Will of William Chrimes late of Audlem in the County of Chester Gentleman who died 27 April 1876 at Audlem was proved at Chester by Thomas Williamson Chrimes of Audlem John Chrimes of 13 Delhi Grove Greenheys Manchester in the County of Lancaster the Sons and John Bancroft of Kynsal in the parish of Audlem in the County of Chester Gentleman the Executors.
