In census submissions George Edward and Dora May 'altered' their ages to reduce the apparent difference between them. In the 1921 England Census Dora May and George Edward, both single, were Boarders with the same WALSH family at Birkenhead. In 1921 Dora May was 'Out of Work' annotated by the enumerator 'Pay Gate Ferries B'head' suggesting a previous employment. Dora May's marriage record is chosen based on the only Dora M CHRIMES credible record. CheshireBMD gives the location of the 1921 marriage as "Birkenhead, Civil Marriage or Registrar Attended". |
