In the 1921 England Census Dora Blanche, 'Single', was declared to be 'Servant' but she was probably what might now be called a 'live-in' employee. The Marriage Index does not contain the forename of this person, but it is given in the FamilySearch record of the marriage registration. However, the complementary record for Dora B TAYLOR gives spouse's name as Edward BELGRAVE, reflecting Edward CHRIMES's change of name. Dora Blanche's Grant of Administation reads: "BELGRAVE Dora Blanche of Flat 1 15 Wilton-road Bexhill-on-Sea Sussex widow died 2 April 1953 Administration Winchester 9 July to Frank Arthur Taylor police constable and Annie Cooper widow. Effects £1682 1s." |
