In the 1911 UK Census Frederick was married but living with his widowed mother, not his wife. In the 1921 England Census return Frederick wrote that he was also employed 'Part Time for Mr. Rowland, Contractor, Duddon. At present I am on the Sick List.' From The London Gazette of 18 December 1923: "ORDER OF THE MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE AND FISHERIES The several places mentioned in the Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be places infected with Foot-and-Mouth Disease ... The buildings and premises at Back Lane, Duddon, in the occupation of Frederick Chrimes [sic] in the parish of Tarvin, in the administrative county of Chester..." Frederick's Grant of Probate reads: "CRIMES, Frederick of Rose Cottage, Duddon, Tarporley, Cheshire died 30 December 1977 Probate Sheffield 15 February [1978] £5772" |
