Mary and Emma MYERS were sisters. Mary's newspaper notice of death reads: "CHRIMES - At Moorgate Grange, Rotherham, on the 13th. January, Mary Chrimes, widow of the late Richard Chrimes, aged 85 years. No flowers, by request." Mary's Probate Record reads: "CHRIMES Mary of Moorgate Grange Rotherham Yorkshire widow died 13 January 1904 Probate Wakefield 12 February [1904] to Algernon Fielden Ramsden gentleman and Charles Herbert Moss and Wilfred Harold Copley accountants Effects £95,963 13s 3d". Mary's will was published in the Sheffield Evening Telegraph on 1 March 1904 and (she having no children) made a large number of bequests to charitable organisations, family members and servants. |
