From The Manchester Courier and Lancashire General Advertiser of 24 September 1867: "MARRIAGES BROWN - CRIMES - September 17 at the Cathedral, by the Rev. John Leighton Figgins, rector of St. James's, William, youngest son of Mr. James Brown, to Jemima, second daughter of Mr. William Crimes, all of Broughton."
