'Ancestry' member I Thresher reports that William Charles "served during WW1, was wounded and taken prisoner of war 1918. When the war ended he re-enlisted into the army later serving with the Royal Tank Corps, serving in India in the late 30's and at Sandhurst Military College in 1944, being transferred to army reserve in 1945."
