Thomas William was a prisoner of war during WWII, being captured on 15 Feb 1942. He died in captivity in Burma (Thailand) on 11 Aug 1943. Thomas William's Grant of Administration reads: "CRIMES Thomas William of 156 Sutton Flats Salford Lancashire died 11 August 1943 on war service. Administration Manchester 10 August [1946] to Thomas Crimes gas worker and Sarah Siddall married woman. Effects: £113 15s. 1d." Thomas William is buried at the Thanbyuzayat War Cemetery in Burma. |
