In the 1921 England Census, despite being 'Out of Work', Gladys was declared to be an employee of The New Inverted Incandescent Gas Co. Ltd. of Birmingham. The 1929 marriage is assigned to this Gladys based on age, location and elimination. Despite the relatively common name at death, Gladys's death record gives the same date of birth as does the 1939 Register. |
