Ethel's Deaths Index and Probate records, which are consistent, do not directly connect her to John Arthur CHRIMES, but she is connected to a CHRIMES by the 1939 Register.
The 1939 Register shows that Ethel had married William J PRICE before marrying John Arthur CHRIMES. However, there are at least two credible marriage records, for PRIME and for DUNN, so Ethel's birth surname remains unknown.
Ethel's Grant of Probate reads: "CHRIMES, Ethel of Dudley Rd Hospital Western Rd Birmingham died 5 March 1984 Probate Birmingham 27 June."
