From The Chester Chronicle on 29 November 1941: "HARDMAN - CHRIMES. On Nov. 22, at Norley Parish Church (St. John's), by the Rev. H.J.E. Williams, Hilda, youngest daughter of Mr. Vincent Chrimes and the late Mrs. Chrimes, West View, Norley, to Robert W. Hardman, only child of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hardman, Rose Bank, Norley." From The Winsford Chronicle of 1 April 1950: "NORLEY NURSE QUALIFIES - Mrs. Hilda Hardman, Rose Bank, has qualified as a State registered nurse at Victoria Hospital, Burnley. She was the youngest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Chrimes, West View, Norley." I am informed by K CHRIMES that Hilda married DICKEN and that she died in 2008 (he attended the funeral at Brook Road (Wesleyan) Methodist church). This is now confirmed by records which show that Hilda's first husband Robert W HARDMAN died in 1944 whilst serving in WWII, and Hilda re-married in 1950 to Robert (or Thomas L R S) DICKIN. |
