Alfred Henry appears on a GenesReunited tree by "Nicole Powell" as Alfred Chrimes. From Commonwealth of Australia Gazette of 15 December 1921: "For Appointment as Telegraph Messenger at Melbourne and Suburban Post Offices. Held 19th November 1921. The candidates named hereunder were successful at the above examination ... Chrimes, Alfred Henry ..." From The West Australian Perth of 23 February 1933: "INTOXICATED DRIVER Alfred Henry Chrimes (25), window dresser, was fined £10 with 10/6 costs, by Messrs W. H. Melvin and A. J. Bishop, J.P.'s at the Perth Police Court yesterday, for having driven a motor car along Barrack-street on February 14 whilst under the influence of liquor. Evidence was given by Constable Thomson that at about 5.50 p.m. the defendant's car collided with two parked cars in Barrack-street, slightly damaging them. The defendant stopped his car after the accident and, when spoken to by the witness, seemed to have no recollection of what he had done. He was brought to the Central Police Station, where he had to hold on to the counter to steady himself. He was under the influence of liquor. Chrimes was later medically examined and stated to be under the influence of liquor and unable to control a motor car. Mr. R. G. Ainslie (instructed by Messrs. Stone. James and Co.) appeared for the defendant and Sergeant Lynes prosecuted." A newspaper Family Notice in the The Western Mail Perth, Western Australia of 28 July 1938: "CHRIMES A.H. of Claremont, on July 17 a daughter" is presumed to apply to Alfred Henry's daughter J▮▮▮ M▮▮▮▮, and places him in Western Australia at that date, before his move to Victoria.
